October Cheney Overview

October Cheney Overview

Happy Fall, everyone! The leaves are changing, Eastern students are back, and it’s EWU Homecoming week, which is always a great way to welcome them back to town. Events run through Sunday, and there’s plenty more happening this month.

We’re also heading into the end-of-year push at City Council. The budget and the comprehensive plan are both due by December, and we’re working on new Council Rules too. The comp plan comes to Council for the first time on Oct 12, and on Oct 13 we’ll hold the public hearing and vote on whether to continue fluoridating our water. Public meetings are listed below, but check the City Calendar and Agenda Center for any extra special meetings that might be added this month.
